Frequently Asked Questions
Is dog food provided?
We encourage you to bring your own, portioned out, dog food. This will be easier on your dog's stomach. If you forget, we do have house food available for $5/day.
Do I need to bring my own bowls?
Bowls and provided. If your dogs needs a specialty bowl, please bring it and we are happy to accomodate.
What can I or should I bring?
We encourage you to bring your own dog food. Your dog must enter on a leash. Raised dog beds are provided in each kennel. You are welcome to bring any comfort items or blankets that your dog may enjoy. All of these items will stay in their kennel.
Does my dog have to be in group play?
No. You know your dog best. Please advise at drop off if you would not like your dog to participate in group play. All dogs are temperament checked before group play, but there are many reasons to avoid it (Illness, injury, too aggressive, shy, intact, etc.). We encourage you to add One-on-One play time or a nature walk to your dogs stay if they are not participating in group play.
Does my dog have to be temperament checked?
If your dog is well socialized, you will not need to bring them ahead of time. If they are shy, nervous or show potential aggression in any way we encourage you to bring them to a day of daycare to be temperment checked. We will be able to let you know if this environment would be a good fit.
Can you administer medication?
Yes. We are able to administer all medications, including injections at no charge. If your dog needs pill pockets or soft food to encourage their eating or to swallow their medication, there will be an extra charge.
Can I still board if my dog is ill?
Give us a call. We will talk through symptoms, mediations, how long your dog as been ill, etc. We will probably give your vet a call to talk it through. Each situation is individual. Our ultimate goal is the health and safety our guests.
Can we bring refrigerated food?
Yes. We have two refrigerators to accomodate all types of food.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
No. All intact dogs after 12 months of age will be additionally temperament checked. If there are any signs of aggression, they will utilized an individual run. Intact females and males are not allowed in the same play groups.
What if my dog is in heat?
Female dogs must not be in heat. This causes a variety of issues for the other guests, especially intact males. If a female goes into heat during her stay, she will be removed from group play, moved to a separate section and a $15/day charge will be added.
What vaccinations are required?
All dogs must be current on rabies, distemper, and Bordetella. Bordetella must be administered at least 5 days before the start of their stay. No exceptions!
How old must a puppy be to board?
There is no minimum age. They just have to be old enough to get the Bordetella vaccination and be as current as they can be (for their age) for rabies and distemper
